DATES FOR THE DIARY

Sunday 10th February
J08 Games night in Parbold W.I.

WEEK OF PRAYER - 10th to 16th of February
During the first week of Lent 2008, the church will be open for prayer at the following times:

Sunday - 2.00 pm to 5.00pm
Monday - 11.00am to 2.00pm and in the evening from 7.00pm to 8.30pm
Tuesday - 11.00am to 2.00pm
Wednesday - 11.00am to 2.00pm. In the evening the house groups will meet in church from 7.00pm to 8.00pm for cake and coffee followed from 8.00pm to 9.00pm with prayer and praise.
Thursday & Friday - 11.00am to 2.00pm
Saturday - 10.00am to 12.00am

The main theme for the week of prayer will be to seek a vision for the next 10 years so that we can prepare the church for growth and a deeper relationship with God. In addition anyone who wishes to spend time in quiet prayer and reflection is most welcome.

Areas of prayer will focus on the church re-ordering, personal growth and international support. Four prayer areas will be set up with the themes: A Personal vision; A Church vision; A World vision; The cross.

We would value regular prayer about this vision from now onwards so that, when the event takes place, the Holy Spirit will be free to challenge and inspire us.

Saturday 23rd February
J08 Ice Skating Trip.

Saturday 8th March
J08 trip to Liverpool for Youth Friday.

Monday 24th March
Church walk and picnic on Easter Monday.

THE LEPROSY MISSION
Here are details of the events planned for 2008 in support of the Leprosy Mission:

SING OUT
Saturday 18th March 2008 - St. Getrman's Cathedral Peel, Isle of Man.

Are you in a choir? Were you in a choir? Would you like to be in a choir? Would you like to listen to a choir? If the answer is YES to any of these questions then read on.
Dust of your copy of Stainer's Crucifixion - or buy or borrow one - and join us to sing or to listen to this great work on the Saturday before Holy Week.
Mike Porter will lead us in a rehearsal from 4.00pm to 6.00pm and will conduct our performance at 7.30pm.
Bring a picnic and you will have time to eat your sandwiches between rehearsal and performance.
So that we can make a good profit for the Leprosy Mission we will give you the opportunity to make a donation on the day - not a bad price for top professional tuition!
Book now and donate on the day. When booking please indicate whether you sing Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Bass.

LAUNCH OUT : 19th April 2008

There are a wide variety of Home Groups catering for all ages. These provide friendship, Christian fellowship and varying depths of bible study, teaching and prayer. Home Groups usually meet once a week in someone's house. From time to time groups also organise social events for group members and families and friends. E.g. Theatre visits, trips out, picnics, celebration meals, etc.

Some Home Groups meet on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings at 7.30 pm or 8 pm and some meet on Thursday mornings.

Everyone is encouraged and invited to join a Home Group. If you require further information, or would like to know of a suitable venue you might join, please have a word with the Vicar in church.
