'Harvest for a fairer world'
It was pleasing to see so many people in church for the Harvest Festival and nice to have children from the Day School taking part.
The Harvest service this year supported the Bishop of Blackburn's Harvest Appeal 2003 and recognised that tackling the terrible poverty in our world must involve giving the poor a 'fair deal'.
For some time now our church has served 'Fairtrade' tea and coffee after the morning service. It is now time to consider the significance of buying 'Fairtrade' products for use at home .
Amos 5: 15 'Hate evil and love good and establish justice in the gate'.
