To reach
the church by car
If travelling from
the M6, leave the motorway at junction 27 then travel, as would visitors
from Wigan, on the A5209 towards Parbold.
Go past the 'Wiggin Tree (Restaurant & Pub)', which is on the top
of Parbold Hill.
Start to descend the hill and soon the church entrance and car park will
be seen on the right.
If travelling from
Parbold, Newburgh and Lathom travel on the A5209 towards Wigan and
up Parbold Hill. Shortly after passing the speed camera the church entrance
will be seen on the left.
To reach the
church by bus or train
Unfortunately, no
buses stop outside the church on Sundays, although the 639 Bus Service
does so during the week, operating hourly between Wigan, Parbold and Skelmersdale.
Visitors can visit Christ Church on Sundays if they travel to Parbold
Station by train and then walk up Parbold Hill. For the return journey,
one of our church members should be able to provide a lift back to Parbold
station by car.
